A little history of Bultaco

How can we not remember the legendary Bultaco brand, founded in Barcelona in 1958 by Paco Bultó, hard on the market for about 25 years before its disappearance due to various crises. Years before, in 1944 Paco and Pere Permanyer founded Montesa, but in 1958 they decided to leave the competition, which is why Paco and several other engineers would leave the company to create their own, Bultaco. Paco, along with the team, moved from Barcelona to Tarragona and while organizing the factory at the same time they designed their first motorcycle. In just four months the prototype was made and in March 1959 the Tralla 101, 125 cc, its first model, would be released.

Only three weeks after its launch, the Tralla 101 was entered in the Barcelonés Montjuïc circuit in the commercial category of the time, taking only from 2nd to 9th place, undoubtedly a success that would drive them to improve more and more. in competition, taking world championships in 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1981.
